Meet Our Governors:

Victoria Molnar-Brown – Chair of Governors

 Lisa Lowes – Governor

A long-time Alnwick resident, I’m married with two grown-up children, Megan and Archie. For over 25 years, I ran a thriving children’s day nursery, along with a popular breakfast, after- school, and holiday club for kids aged 4-11 at St. Michael’s School. Archie attended the school 16 years ago, giving me many fond memories as a parent. Now working part-time for
Northumberland Estates, I’m excited to get involved with Harry Hotspur C of E Primary School and reconnect with the community!

Jackie Chevaugeon – Governor

Alison Burden – Governor

As an executive head teacher of a federation of schools in South Tyneside I have been fortunate enough to work with primary children throughout my career spanning 34 years. I also work alongside other schools and colleagues as a school improvement adviser. This is a wonderful opportunity to share and support good practice.

I am extremely lucky to live in a beautiful village in Northumberland which is a perfect setting for my 2 dogs and boisterous grandson!

It is a privilege to be a governor at Harry hotspur Primary School at such an exciting time in their journey.

Rev Christian Mitchison – Governor

I was appointed Vicar of St Michael’s Church, Alnwick, in May 2023 having moved up from Heathfield in East Sussex where I was the Vicar for six years. I previously served my Curacyin the East Sussex market town of Uckfield. I was an ex-officio governor of a federation of two church schools for six years, and oversaw the transition from single school to federation. As well as taking a keen interest in ensuring that the distinctive Christian
character and ethos of the school is developed and enhanced, I am also able to draw on my extensive background in strategic leadership from my previous career in the horseracing and construction industries.

I enjoy walking in the beautiful Northumberland hills, running
(not very far or very well!), reading and I’m an avid Formula 1 fan!

Danielle Harvey – Parent Governor

John MacFarlane – Headteacher

Sue Lockey – Staff Governor

Claire Baigent – Parent Governor

I’m a mum of three boys at NCEA Harry Hotspur C of E Primary, with my youngest in Years 4 and 6. Since moving to Alnwick three years ago, our children have thrived at the school.

My personal experience with perinatal mental health led me to set up local support groups and train as a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Champion. This passion evolved into professional work supporting adults with mental health challenges and delivering CBT-based coaching, deepening my understanding of the lasting effects of early trauma.

Currently, I’m a Pastoral Mentor at Duchess’ Community High School, delivering wellbeing courses and training to become a Thrive Licensed Practitioner. I also have firsthand experience navigating Early Help support as a parent of a neurodiverse child.

I’m passionate about children’s mental and emotional wellbeing and would welcome the chance to contribute to Harry Hotspur Primary as a governor, bringing both personal insight and professional expertise.
